The Kensworth C of E Primary School Parent-Teacher Association is called the ‘Kensworth School PTA’. As soon as your child joins our school, all parents/carers automatically become members of the PTA. It is a lively organisation with a long and successful history, which has raised money in all sorts of different ways.
The Kensworth School PTA committee is led by parents and staff, who organise a variety of fundraising and social events. In the last year we have had several well-attended and successful events, which include the Christmas Fair and Quiz nights. The PTA also organise a termly Film Club, regular Mufti days and cake sales.
The funds raised by these combined efforts enable us to purchase new equipment to support the children’s learning as well as helping to fund trips such as the annual pantomime trip to Watford Palace Theatre each December. In recent years we have raised funds for the Trim Trail, equipment and toys for our Pre School, which included an Interactive Whiteboard, seating and storage for Holly Class, art equipment, playground markings, cameras, and Story Sacks for Holly and Cherry classes.
We are currently raising funds to support the purchase of some new all-weather surfacing for the Early Years area and some new equipment for the Yr3-6 Playground.
Look out for Kensworth School PTA Newsletters in book bags for details of forthcoming events. We also publish details of events via Parentmail, via our Facebook page (please see the link below), and on the blackboard in the playground.
Our meetings are held monthly, please come along, everyone’s welcome!
