Our school day begins at 8.55am.  The children should not be on the premises before 8.45am and the classroom doors will be opened between 8:50am and 8:55am.   We encourage children to enter their classes independently where they will be met by the class Teacher or TA.

 A typical school day

4+  Morning Session 8.55 – 12.00 pm
Key Stage 1 Morning Session 8.55 – 12 noon
  Playtime 10.30 – 10.45 am
  Afternoon Session 1.25 – 3.30 pm
Key Stage 2 Morning Session 8.55 - 12.15 pm
  Playtime 10.30 - 10.45 am
  Afternoon Session 1.25 - 3.30 pm

Children will be collected from the playground by their class teachers after both morning and lunchtime play as this affords an opportunity for handover and also signals to the children that playtime has finished and it is, once again, time for learning.

Children are not sent out into the playground until the Teacher or TA has seen their parent/carer.  If children are being collected by somebody else please ensure that you have given your written permission for this where this has been planned in advance or you have telephoned the school (in cases of emergency).

Homework is part of each child’s programme of study; extending learning and understanding as well as developing self-discipline in independent and individual work.
